  IF MR GUTTENBERG HAD COME UP WITH THE INTERNET INSTEAD OF MOVABLE TYPE BACK IN THE LATE 15TH CENTURY AND FOR 400 YEARS WE HAD USED THE INTERNET FOR NEWS AND ALL TYPES OF ENTERTAINMENT AND ALL KINDS OF EVERYTHING ELSE AND I CAME ALONG ONE DAY AND SAID I HAVE GOT THIS WONDERFUL IDEA WE ARE GOING TO CHOP DOWN SOME TREES UP IN CANADA AND SHIP THEM TO A PAPER MILL WHICH WILL COST US A FORTUNE TO RUN THROUGH AND DELIVER NEWSPRINT AND THEN WE'LL SHIP THAT DOWN TO SOME NEWSPAPER AND WE'LL HAVE A WHOLE BUNCH OF PEOPLE STAYING UP ALL NIGHT WRITING UP THINGS AND THEN WE'LL SEND A BUNCH OF KIDS OUT THE NEXT DAY ALL OVER TOWN DELIVERING THIS THING AND WE ARE GOING TO REALLY WIPE OUT THE INTERNET WITH THIS IT AIN'T GOING TO HAPPEN. Hey Leo – about twittering the Mexican swine flu pandemic: As long as scare stories sell, as long as millions of indoctrinated suckers fall for them they will never end. They've got you on a rat-running wheel, running scared every day, like rats scrambling to get away from electrical shocks that never actually come ….. ….Ultimately, each of us has to resist the media storm and learn to laugh at it. About Politicians:  There are some fundamental misunderstandings people have about politicians. Let me clear those up:   (1) Politicians are not smart. Most of them have average IQs -- if they are lucky.   (2) Politicians are extraordinarily egocentric . They run for office because they love to see their face on the TV and they love to hear themselves talk. (President Obama is example #1 of this principle .)   (3) At the national level, politicians are (1) + (2) and they either have a lot of personal wealth -- or they have worked their way up the system (running for local office first) by selling their souls to lobbyists on either the left or the right American Thinker: From Tea Parties to Political Parties
